Policies & Client Guidelines
At The Restorative Facialist, my commitment is to deliver a restorative, high-quality experience for every client. To protect the time, energy, and care that goes into each appointment, please review the following policies before booking.
⸻
Booking & Credit Card on File
A valid credit card is required to reserve all appointments. This applies to all current, established clients and new clients.
• The card on file is not used as payment for your service.
• You will still need to provide payment at checkout via your preferred method.
• The card on file is used strictly to secure your appointment and to process cancellation or no-show fees when applicable.
This system ensures fairness and helps maintain availability for all clients.
Appointment Reminders & Notifications
To help you keep track of your upcoming visit, automated reminders are sent by text message and/or email prior to your appointment. The type of reminder you receive is based on the notification preferences you selected when booking.
Please Note: You will receive a reminder 7 days before your scheduled appointment, email 72 hours before your appt. and also a text 48 hours before.
If you ever need to update how you are contacted, just let me know and I’ll be happy to assist.
⸻
Cancellation Policy – 48 Hours Required
I kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule any appointment.
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled time will incur a 50% charge of the booked service to the card on file.
• This allows me the opportunity to offer your reserved time to another client on my waitlist.
⸻
No-Show Policy
If you do not arrive for your appointment and no notice is given, the appointment is considered a no-show.
• No-shows will be charged 100% of the scheduled service to the card on file.
• Frequent no-shows will result in restricted booking privileges.
⸻
Late Arrival
To honor the time of all clients, please arrive promptly.
• If you are more than 10 minutes late, your service may need to be shortened, and the full service fee will still apply.
• If you are too late for the appointment to be completed, it will be treated as a late cancellation (50% fee).
⸻
Illness Policy
Your health—and mine—is important.
• If you are feeling unwell, please reschedule as soon as symptoms begin.
• Arriving to your appointment sick may require rescheduling for safety of both of us.
• Standard cancellation fees may apply depending on notice given.
Likewise, if I become ill or begin showing symptoms, I will notify you promptly by text or phone call regarding your upcoming appointment. Your service will be rescheduled as soon as I am well enough to safely take care of you, ensuring that germs are not spread within the studio.
Thank you for understanding and helping maintain a healthy space for everyone.
⸻
Children & Additional Guests
To maintain a restorative, peaceful environment for all clients, children and additional guests may not attend appointments unless they are receiving a scheduled service themselves.
⸻
Service Eligibility
My practice specializes in advanced, restorative skincare and age-management services for women.
• At this time, I do not provide services for men or teens, including acne treatments.
• If you have questions regarding service eligibility, feel free to reach out prior to booking.
⸻
Refunds & Product Returns
Service fees are non-refundable.
• Unopened skincare products may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase.
• Opened products cannot be returned unless a reaction occurs, in which case a store credit or exchange may be considered.
⸻
Results & Expectations
While I strive to create visible and meaningful improvement in your skin, all skin responds differently.
• Consistent home care and adherence to pre- and post-care guidelines are essential to achieving optimal results.
⸻
Commitment to Your Experience
These policies are in place to protect your appointment time, ensure a peaceful environment, and maintain the quality of care my clients rely on. I deeply appreciate your understanding and support of my small, independent practice,
Shannon Michelle
